(smooth-ju: smoothies and juices!)
Q: Kathy, do you believe in juice cleanses?
A: I think the real value of cleansing is that it helps to balance out cravings, increases energy by giving your digestive system a rest from having to process solid foods, increases mental alertness, and just acts as a good reset button for your body. But, I don’t believe people should look to cleansing solely as a weight loss solution, even though that may be a side benefit of doing it.
Tips for a smooth-ju cleanse:
- If you feel the need to chew, feel free to nibble on any of the ingredients within the smoothies.
- Experiment with whatever ingredients are in your kitchen! Smooth-ju recipes are often flexible to fit your tastebuds…and budget!
- Feel free to blend a little extra and sip on while you’re on the go!
