Hello, summer 2021—we’ve been waiting for you! As we head into BBQ-and-beach season, staying hydrated during the hottest days and nights of the year are a must.
And yes, water is the go-to beverage, but if sipping H2O becomes a little too plain, why not jazz it up in seconds to create one of summertime’s simplest pleasures…
Aaaah, sweet lemonade—yet this homemade beverage doesn’t include the fructose and the fillers found in the store-bought versions.
In fact, my latest recipe offers more than aqua and this nutrient-packed citrus fruit—and it will do a lot more for your body than just quench your thirst.
This revitalizing drink offers one scoop of an invaluable ingredient: An essential protein that nourishes hair, skin and nails, along with repairing joints, bones, muscles and tendons.
You guessed it, collagen!
It’s no secret that our body’s ability to replenish collagen decreases as we age, which is why supplementing our system with it can result in a smoother, firmer complexion, thicker hair, stronger nails and cushioned joints.
Plus, this pure formula offers other powerhouse vitamins and compounds that further boost collagen production.

Oh, and did you know that collagen has also been shown to increase satiety while helping to conquer cravings? The same goes for water!
For a splash of color, toss in your favorite antioxidant-rich red fruit (either strawberries, raspberries or pomegranate seeds). Add ice, turn on the blender, then top it with a fresh slice of lemon or mint leaf.
And there you have it…sweet sunshine in a glass! Hydrating your body—and your skin—from the inside out has never tasted so invigorating.
