Be Here Now

Enchanted Forest Audio

In our fast-paced world, filled with constant distractions and endless to-do lists, finding moments of true presence can feel like stumbling upon a hidden oasis. Yet, it’s in these moments of pure awareness that we often find our greatest peace, clarity, and joy. Today, I’m excited to introduce you to a tool that can help you cultivate this invaluable skill: the Enchanted Forest meditation tape.

The Timeless Wisdom of Being Here Now

The concept of “being here now” isn’t new. In fact, it’s a timeless wisdom that has been shared by spiritual teachers across generations. In the early 1970s, Ram Dass popularized this phrase with his influential book “Be Here Now.” Nearly three decades later, Eckhart Tolle echoed similar sentiments in “The Power of Now.”

Both of these works came into my life during challenging times – “Be Here Now” after the loss of my parents, and “The Power of Now” following my divorce. In these moments of grief and transition, when my mind was prone to spiraling into dark thoughts, the practice of present moment awareness became my anchor.

Transformative Power of Presence
Presence isn’t just about relaxation or stress relief (although it certainly helps with those). It’s about fully experiencing life as it unfolds. It’s about embracing each moment with love and awareness, whether you’re eating, showering, or simply sitting in silence.

As Eckhart Tolle beautifully puts it:

“See if you can catch yourself complaining, in either speech or thought, about a situation you find yourself in, what other people do or say, your surroundings, your life situation, even the weather. To complain is always nonacceptance of what is. It invariably carries an unconscious negative charge. When you complain, you make yourself into a victim. When you speak out, you are in your power. So change the situation by taking action or by speaking out if necessary or possible; leave the situation or accept it. All else is madness.”

This practice of presence has served me in all areas of life. It’s helped me find focus when my mind was scattered, peace when my emotions were turbulent, and joy in the simplest of moments.

Enchanted Forest

Now, I’m thrilled to share a tool that can help you cultivate this powerful skill of presence: the Enchanted Forest meditation tape. This guided meditation is designed to gently lead you into a state of present moment awareness, using the rich, immersive imagery of a mystical forest. As you listen, you’ll be invited to:

1. Slow down and breathe:
Let the gentle rhythm of the forest guide your breath.
2. Engage your senses: Notice the sounds, scents, and sensations of the imaginary forest around you.
3. Release thoughts: Practice letting go of worries about the past or future, anchoring yourself in the now.
4. Embrace what is: Learn to accept each moment as it comes, without judgment or resistance.

At first, putting down your phone and simply being present might feel boring or uncomfortable. But as you practice, you may find that life becomes more vivid, more exciting, because you’re fully there to experience it.
