Put the “Boom” back in Boomer!

Through the years I’ve heard lots of reasons why people take up exercising. Most do it to get a better body; one that’s stronger, sleeker, trimmer and sexier. Not me. I noticed that after working out, I had a much higher energy level so my exercise incentive was to feel more energetic.

That’s still true today. We all need energy to work, to be with family, to play and to work out. In fact, lack of energy is the number one excuse people give for not exercising regularly. It’s a downward cycle. If you don’t exercise, you can’t be fit, and if you’re not fit, you won’t have the energy to exercise. Working out puts fuel in your tank.

Here’s a perfect solution to boost your energy, drop 10 pounds AND feel 10 years younger! My Body Boomers Workout, includes three of my favorite workouts all on one DVD! Choose from Moving Through Menopause, The Shaper Ball Workout and Wellness Mind & Body Relaxation System. Mix up your workouts with low impact cardio, yoga, strength training and the exercise ball for great abs. Find the right combination and intensity level to design your perfect workout.

Over time our bodies simply can’t work 14-hour days, day after day like they used to; juggling business, family and social obligations. We need to take responsibility for our own health and control our actions and environment to serve our fitness goals.

No working person has the luxury to choose exactly how every minute of every day is going to be spent. But by monitoring your energy level and eliminating as many energy “vampires” as possible, you can fuel the sense of well-being that makes living seem like a gift instead of a chore.

Do what it takes to achieve a high energy level and stay healthier by nurturing a strong immune system and allow yourself to replenish your energy before it runs out.

Here are some tips to boost your energy:

  1. Do a light workout when you get out of bed.
  2. Enjoy a healthy breakfast to kick start the metabolism. Keep it humming by eating every three or four hours.
  3. If you spend long hours at the computer, make sure to get up at least once an hour to do some simple stretches and get your blood circulating.
  4. Take a short walk after lunch.
  5. At night, take some time to insure that you fall into a deep, rejuvenating slumber. (Music, warm baths, simple yoga stretches, etc.)
